I love Japanese food, so a friend invited me to this wonderful place full of great service and, of course, great food. From the moment you arrived, you feel special; the service is incredibly good and friendly. We ordered several things, but the Wagyu Tarutaru was definitely my favorite, I would have it a thousand times over. The place is beautiful with a gorgeous view of the bridge. Thank you Ozumo team

Every roll our group ordered here turned out incredible - all the food is good! The service was incredible and knew so much about the history of the menu items and company which was fun to learn about. The ambiance is low lighting but not too dark, great spot for a date night.

wow wow wow! just finished such an amazing meal at ozumo. i dined here alone at the sushi bar and want to share my experience. i'll start off with the look of the restaurant. absolutely gorgeous design. very spacious, comfortable seating, and japanese inspired artwork. next the service. i was served by kotchanan and she was very sweet. she explained the menu giving me recommendations and guided me towards the options i was on the fence about. i was also served by the head chef. i didnt really catch his name since his apron was covering it, but he was the best. very knowledgeable on all the fish; the life cycle of the fish i was eating, the taste, color, texture...he knew everything. it truly added to my experience since i was dining alone, and they also didnt bombard too much when i did want to be alone. now the foooood. (im going to go into crazy depth about it) oh my goodness amazing. i started off with the giddy geisha cocktail; very sour, not too strong, the right amount of sweet, and the sugar on the rim was a perfect addition. the otoro nigiri was so smooth. incredible buttery taste, a little bit oily (in a good way), and just had so much flavor. the brussel sprouts were awesome, they tasted like how all japanese restaurants prepare brussel sprouts, but nonetheless delicious. afterwards my shacho roll was all in all good. i wasnt aware of this, but it didnt have rice, so it was really more sashimi than a roll. but all of the ingredients of that dish worked together well. then to finish off the dinner portion i had chutoro nigiri...INCREDIBLE! i have never heard of or been to a sushi restaurant that did this, but they served two different fish from two different countries. one from spain (left) and one from mexico (right), both still chutoro, but had two different tastes. the one from spain was my favorite with it being more buttery, flavorful, and smoother. and the last thing i had was the yuzu sorbet. i wouldnt say this is for everyone, it was very sour but thats kind of how i like it. so if that's your cup of tea, definitely give it a try!!! everything was amazing and im glad i went here alone. it was a beautiful scenery since it had a view of the bay bridge too, so everything is a win. i hope to be back soon to try everything else.

We made a reservation a few hours before and we were able to be seated at 6:30pm. We sat in the back dining room. The service was great and so was the food. The spicy tuna rolls was VERY spicy but good. The salmon crispy rice (HITOKUCHI) was UNREAL so good. The yellowtail roll was good too. The shishito mushrooms were great too! Highly recommend this for dinner

Came here for dinner on Valentine's Day. It was so insanely busy that took a good 10m of waiting after being seated for a server (who was not our main server) to approach me and take my drink order. I felt more bad for them than upset with them, Vday is crazy in the city. We were seated at the sushi bar in the back which had a great view of the chefs prepping orders. The food was, for the most part, insanely good. The Kinoko (mushrooms) that was recommended to us were definitely a highlight, we even ended up ordering a second one because our nigiri was nowhere to be seen yet. When it was finally our turn, we found that they gave us extra nigiri because our overall wait time was so long. Everything was fresh, sweet and buttery aside from the Fort Bragg uni (American uni), which tasted like straight ammonia. I was barely able to force down what I had already put in my mouth, but I was not able to bring myself to eat the second piece, and it was the only piece that went uneaten. Because this was one of the extra and free pieces that was given to us, and because they were so busy anyway, I ended up not flagging to the restaurant. For dessert we had the ichigo mousse which is one of the better things I've tasted. The mousse was delightfully strawberry forward, and the strawberry flavor tasted natural, not artificial or syrupy, while the toasted pistachios provided an amazing savory contrast.

Great ambiance, the service was fantastic. It's a large space so where you get seated may affect your experience. The front part of the restaurant is darker and has a cool more private high end aesthetic while the back part of the restaurant has amazing views of the Bay Bridge. Great date night spot for the atmosphere; the sushi itself is nothing to complain about but nothing really stood out to me across their menu of rolls.

We stopped by this place for happy hour when we realized that almost every other spot nearby was closed for a private holiday party. I wasn't expecting much from this high-end sushi chain, but our experience and quality (even just for happy hour) really taught us it was worth the hype! We got seated immediately and they allowed us the space to let our friends join at a large booth. A lot of options for happy hour: cocktails, beer, wine, small hot plates and sushi rolls. And they were all labeled for dietary restriction so I was able to easily find out which things were gluten free! The server even helped us make some good selections: I tried all the hh cocktails, miso soup, roasted mushrooms, spicy tuna, and shishitos and was pleasantly surprise by the taste and quality. The quality of the fish seemed great, so I definitely want to come back for an omakase dinner!
